Why should I care
When you are gone
When the autumn leaves
Start to fall
While car doors slam and moving trucks, filled to the brim,
Pull out of the driveway
Never to be seen again
Why should I care about you again
When seasons change, and people change
And time never stops for no one or anything.
Sometimes,
I start to wonder what you are up to
If you are up to your old mischief
Or have you moved on like a dandelion puff blown away from a warm summer breeze
Am I the one stuck in the past, or are you the one moving on too fast?
I have realized one thing over these past years since you left
I really do care about you.
